Most people visit Castrum Camping and Pension because of the thermal lake of Hévíz. Lake Hévíz is unique and a must see at least once in a lifetime! It is the largest natural warm water lake in the world, covering an area of 4.5 hectares. The deepest point is 38 m, but the average depth along the shore is 2 m. The water temperature is 34-36 °C in summer, but it never drops below 24-26 °C in winter.
The thermal water and mud are well suited to treating musculoskeletal disorders with complex physiotherapy treatments, but many people visit for the unique bathing experience. After all, where else can you swim among the blooming water lilies?
